He was replaced by Slipknot’s Joey Jordison in 2010 who took over live drumming. Whilst still promoting and touring the album, drummer Tommy Clufetos left the band to join Ozzy Osbourne. The album on it’s first release, debuted at number 8 on the Billboard 200 charts, and spent 12 weeks on the chart. It’s called Rob Zombie, but we’re treating it like a band.” Speaking at the time to Rolling Stone Magazine, Rob noted “ I’ve always had a revolving roster of studio and touring musicians, but the three guys in my band now have been on tour with me for years.
HELLBILLY DELUXE 2 FULL
Hellbilly Deluxe 2, is the first Zombie record to feature his full touring band. The album came out after Zombie released Halloween 2. Singles from the album included What? and Sick Bubblegum. The album is the first to feature bassist Piggy D, who had replaced Blasko after the recording of Educated Horses. However, "nice" should never be a word that can describe a Rob Zombie record.“ Hellbilly Deluxe 2: Noble Jackals, Penny Dreadfuls and the Systematic Dehumanization of Cool” is the follow-up to Rob Zombie’s debut solo album Hellbilly Deluxe, released in 1998. JOHN 5 does his best to disguise lifeless riffs with some stylish playing and a killer tone, resulting in some nice mainstream metal. "Sick Bubblegum" is catchier than any song with a "Rock, motherfucker" rejoinder deserves to be, and "What?" may be the best GIBBY HAYNES impression since 1996, right down to lyrics that sound made up on the spot. Even when he isn't sounding awkwardly experimental, songs like "Mars Needs Women" and "Burn" are worthy of Rob's mediocre kid brother's band, but not the guy who gave us Astro-Creep 2000. "Werewolf Women of the SS" is an undeserving musical counterpart to Rob's inspiring Grindhouse trailer. The artsy detours and sound clips on "Jesus Frankenstein" and particularly the interminable "The Man Who Laughs" distract from otherwise fine songs. He's maintained the bells and whistles that made WHITE ZOMBIE stand out, but he no longer has the hooks to carry them. Sheri Moon Zombie sounds like an artist who should be on Roadrunner pitching himself to The End Records.
